Лоялисты [Loyalists], сторонники английской короны в Тринадцати колониях [Thirteen Colonies] во время Войны за независимость [Revolutionary War], особенно те из них, кто покинул колонии и осел в Канаде. В 1783-84 их оказалось около 60 тыс. человек. В основном это были выходцы из Нью-Йорка, Коннектикута и Массачусетса.
